Bears

Bears - what do they mean to us?  Since at least in Britain they are just an idea and not a physical reality. They might be a the first toy a child receives, but hang on - this is a really scary and potentially deadly animal!  A nightmare monster!  How did we come to think they were so cute?

 

The bears in my prints try to have a bit of both of these conflicting ideas of

bear-ness along with some human characteristics.
